This mounting technique is a development of the Military version of the theme.

The military use low magnification dayscopes. The nightvision unit is placed in
front of the scope and is rail mounted.

This civilian version allows the higher magnification of the owners dayscope to
be used at night. There is no need to re-zero the equipment, the nightvision unit
is simply attached to the rear of the scope.

The single drawback to this system is that it uses all of the dayscopes eye-relief,
and then some. We recommend the dayscope is moved as far forward as normal
daytime use allows. When the nightvision system is added, the users eye should
still be in a comfortable position.

Some customers have utilised a picatinny rail with quick release scope rings, so
they can move the dayscope forward with no significant change in zero.

This allows the nightvision unit to be used at night in the same position as the
dayscope would be during daytime use.
